UK FILM REVIEW
Rog does a great job as director and creates terrific aerial shots of buildings and landscapes. There is also a well-constructed montage consisting of news footage that shows riots and makes good use of fast cutting.
This accomplishment offers an interesting and intriguing experience. The story, score and atmosphere make this short film an admirable achievement that is worth pursuing.
A SELF-TAUGHT MAN FROM RZESZÓW MADE A SCI-FI FILM WITHOUT A SCENARIO. HE WON A PARIS FILM FESTIVAL AWARD.
They ran around the streets of Rzeszów in S.W.A.T outfits. Dressed in vests, with weapons. Police arrived – “We are a making a film about special forces” I explained. Police officers commented that “it looks good” says Lukasz.
Without a script and no film school, he made his first short film "No Stars Anymore", which won an award in Paris and other awards as well as distinctions at festivals around the world.
INDIE FILM CRITICS REVIEW
For a first time filmmaker, Lukasz Rog does a commendably great job at gradually cultivating suspense through the course of the film in a manner that keeps the viewer wholly immersed and transfixed. He deftly employs intelligent cinematic techniques to create high-quality visuals which clearly relay the events going on in the film. Coupled with the foreboding soundtrack, this creates an anxiety-inducing and pensive atmosphere that engages the viewer’s senses and emotions very powerfully.
